HEALTHY HEART HABITS

Acupuncture and holistic medicine has helped people of all ages to improve their cardiovascular. We are experts in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and improving the quality of life for our patients is our mission.

The keys to great cardiovascular health are nutrition, exercise and lifestyle factors such as not smoking, good sleep, stress management, god nutrition and hydration and more.  We provide personalized treatment plans for every individual, treating the person, not the condition!

Angina (Chest Pain)

Angina may be caused by reduced blood flow to your heart muscle. Your blood carries oxygen, which your heart muscle  needs to survive. When your heart muscle isn't getting enough oxygen, it causes a condition called ischemia. The most common cause of reduced blood flow to your heart muscle is coronary artery disease. It is often described as squeezing, pressure, heaviness, tightness or pain in the chest. Some people with angina symptoms describe angina as feeling like a heavy weight has been placed on their chest. Although angina is relatively common, it can still be hard to distinguish from other types of chest pain, such as the pain or discomfort of indigestion. If you have unexplained chest pain, seek medical attention right away.

Angina symptoms include: chest pain or discomfort, possibly described as pressure, squeezing, burning or fullness, pain in arms, neck, jaw, shoulder or back accompanying chest pain, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, sweating, and dizziness.

Below are some possibilities to consider:

  • Yoga and Spirituality
  • Tai Chi
  • Fitness with Faith
  • Plyometrics
