Dr. Ahuva Gamliel is a naturopathic physician*, licensed acupuncturist, and a professor of alternative medicine at Everglades University in Boca Raton, Florida.  In addition to her private practice in Miami Beach, she lectures on various health-related topics at local health food stores and community centers.

Dr. Gamliel’s goal is to educate people on the importance of prevention and the usefulness of integrating complementary and alternative medicine modalities with mainstream conventional care.  She has written and published health related articles in local newspapers and was interviewed on the 1040 AM radio show “The Best of You,” where she spoke about Spirituality & Medicine.  Her “Ask the Acupuncture Physician” column is being featured in an on-line holistic magazine www.urbanstillness.com.

Dr. Gamliel spent five years in graduate school at Bastyr University** in Seattle, Washington.  Bastyr University is one of the world's leading academic centers for advancing knowledge in the natural health sciences. 

After obtaining her master’s degree in Acupuncture, Dr. Gamliel went to China to practice acupuncture at the teaching hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  There she was able to see how well patients responded when they received the best of both worlds: combining Eastern and Western Medicine.

Dr. Gamliel is a great natural medicine resource and an inspiration for people of all ages because she practices what she teaches.  When she is not seeing patients or teaching, she enjoys meditating, reading, attending local lectures, and participating in physical activities such as jogging, roller-blading, and scuba diving.
